One of the best things about my job, and what I take the most pride in, is when my clients trust me enough to bring me in and help them when they have felt hopelessness and maybe shame with their situation. In this case, this home had dealt with a flood and major damage from a storm. The repair work meant that everything in the home needed to be packed up into boxes for months and then when it was finally time to unpack and move back in, it all felt very overwhelming. When you don’t know where to start or how to start, the situation can get worse making it even harder to do anything about it on your own.
This client eventually opened up to someone that they trusted and that someone just happened to know me and what I do and connected the two of us. I will never take for granted how hard it can be to bring in a stranger and ask them for help so a big high five to everyone who has done it.

Bringing this kitchen back to life required collecting garbage and recycling and then decluttering and organizing the leftover items into the cupboards once they were accessible. It’s such a transformation and makes the biggest difference in every day life when the kitchen is organized and easy to use.
